At The Literacy Hubs our volunteers are a vital part of the work we do, enabling us to provide high quality, 1-1 and small group support to the young people on our programme.
Who Can Volunteer?
As a not-for-profit, educational charity, we aim to be as inclusive as possible and welcome applications from people with a variety of backgrounds. You don’t need to have worked as a teacher, or in a school to join the team; an enthusiastic desire to create a positive and supportive environment is enough of a qualification! However, we are currently unable to accept applications from anyone under the age of 18.
Interested in Volunteering?
You can contact us via telephone, email, or alternatively through messaging us on our social media channels on instagram or facebook.
We can organise some time for you to meet with our volunteer manager to find out more about the service we run, your role and answer any questions you may have. If you are still interested we can begin the ‘onboard’ process which includes a free DBS, training and the opportunity for you to join a session to get a feel for the work involved.
We will be in touch with you within a week to confirm your application, and will then invite you to attend our training.
You can find a few more details about the role in the attached document here
